Welcome to everyone who is just finding this page and to my friends coming from Shadows of Clouds. I posted there today describing my reasons for creating freshblogger.com. The primary reason is that my interests have diverged and expanded. I’m returning the focus of my old blog to fiction writing and reading and starting this blog for other topics.

On freshblogger.com I’m intending to explore fresh ideas for making life better. This seems like a pretty general idea, but what I’ll be posting about will mostly revolve around making our lives more fulfilling, financially, socially, etc, through blogging and writing.

My personal goal is to eventually make my living entirely from writing and blogging. This is a goal that I’m sure many of us share. Financial independence is not only a worthy pursuit, but a reality for more people than you might think. That’s not to say that they don’t work for the money. A great deal of hard work is usually required to get there. The point is that it is definitely possible for you to get out of the rat race.

Some of you may be thinking, what are this guy’s qualifications for talking about self-improvement and blogging? To be honest, I have no special qualifications other than a keen interest in making my own life better and sharing my discoveries. I’ve had reason to reexamine my life recently and I’ve found that there are a lot of areas for improvement.

The web has been a source of information and inspiration for me for a long time. In the last couple of years, though, the web has really been maturing. One of the most important new developments is blogging. It’s already changed the way many people get their information. Faith in the old media is shattered and the new media is increasingly an important part of people’s everyday lives.

I’m excited to be able to participate in this movement in any small way. If you are new to my blogging or are already familiar with what I’ve been writing, I hope you’ll continue to read. I trust you’ll find something useful here that will apply to your own life. I’m also convinced you’ll have important ideas to share and contribute to the dialogue.
