Another great idea for driving more traffic to your blog can be found at How to get on the digg homepage. I’ve wondered about the social networking sites and even added the little buttons you see below my posts.

In case you didn’t know what they’re for, the buttons (created by the Sociable plugin for WordPress) will allow you to vote for or bookmark each post on one of the social networking sites. This will share the post with more readers out there who might not otherwise come across this blog.

As an experiment, I clicked the digg button (far left of the line of buttons) for my post How To Participate in the Blogging Community. You have to sign up for digg if you haven’t already, but it only takes a minute and is completely painless. Within just a few minutes of digging the story, I’d already gotten several more diggs.

You may find the article above useful in getting more traffic to your blog. It’s also another way of discovering new blogs. Feel free to digg any of my posts and share them with the world. I’m going to be exploring the whole social bookmarking thing more from now on.

Yep. I’m going to have to spend some time getting a feel for how they work. I know I got at least a couple of new visitors from digg.com. The more exposure, the better, right?
