Hi again, Essie! I've been getting Perry Marshall's email newsletter for a long time now and I always get something of value without having to pay a dime. I've never really noticed a hard sell approach, but it may be that I overlook it because of all the great information.

What impresses me most is Perry's style of making a point by telling a story. Out of all the other internet marketers I've read, he has the most mature and eloquent, yet natural style. His personality and unique style comes through very easily in a trustworthy and likable way. If I were to spend any money on that type of product, I have to say it would go to Perry first.

When I do go further with either his materials or internet marketing, I'll definitely incorporate what I'm attempting and what I learn into some new posts here. Thanks for your comment, Essie. You're always welcome.

Hello, again...

I was happy to find this topic. I've been getting the solicitation email for the "Google Adwords Free." The flamboyant style of the letters and frequent take-away close, etc., is the hard sell style which always puts up red flags for a scam, for me. Still I have not opted out while not going ahead and moving on it either.

Some indication that there is a viable system behind the "too good to be true" title and bait stories is a plus for taking it seriously.

I will have to check back and see if I'm being offered a free newsletter etc., or an all or nothing *join* (and pay) deal.

I would certainly like a more detailed follow up to this topic, whatever stage you are in with it. Thank you for tackling this one. Regards,
Essie

Hi Komik. I've heard a lot of good things about SEOBook. I've never bought it, but I've checked out the blog from time to time and gotten some useful information. I'm much more likely to buy something when I read good, honest reviews. Thanks for commenting!

The only eBook I bought happens to be SEOBook. It didn't include any "magical" seo tactics, but I was fairly happy with it.

Hi Briana. I agree as long as I don't have to spend too much time getting that one good thing out of it. BTW, I'm still getting emails from Perry Marshall that are well written, interesting, and also contain pearls of wisdom far beyond just using AdWords. He's truly a business and marketing guru in my book... Thanks for stopping by and good luck with your ventures!

Yep. Time is the most precious commodity.

Now, I do have to say that I've heard only good things about Perry Marshall, but mixed to bad about all the other gurus I've looked into. I usually do my research before spending any kind of money and most times I decide not to spend it at all.

There's that dang time factor again. If you could be sure the ebook had the info you needed, then it is a huge time saver. But it's always a big question mark, isn't it?
