Should Bloggers Indicate if Links Are Affiliate Links?

I’ve been pondering this question a bit lately. There are, of course, a number of different opinions on the matter of revealing affiliate connections, but what do you think about using affiliate links in blog posts? Is there a general rule of thumb that you go by? Do you consider it unethical to not let your readers know if a link is one that you stand to profit by?
