I was tagged recently by Leroy to list my 5 favorite movies and I’ve finally gotten around to finishing this post. I like movies a lot, but I don’t get much chance to see them anymore. Here are a few oldies and a couple of newer ones that I liked quite a bit:

1. Repo Man – Classic offbeat eighties starring Emilio Estavez.
2. The Last of the Mohicans – Latest remake starring Daniel Day-Lewis and Madeline Stowe.
3. Raiders of the Lost Ark – Archeology adventure that never gets old.
4. Forty Year Old Virgin – The funniest movie I’ve seen in years.
5. Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon – Stunning visual effects and incredible, understated intensity make this one of my favorites ever.

So, those are a few of my favorite movies. There are a lot more that I liked, but didn’t include in this list for one reason or another. I could also add a few more of my favorite spaghetti westerns, like The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly, High Plains Drifter, The Unforgiven, or some that might scare you, like The People Under the Stairs, A Nightmare on Elm Street, John Carpenter’s The Thing, Event Horizon, Trick or Treat, Reanimator, or even some that might surprise you, like Key Largo, Shadowlands, and Remains of the Day. I have to also mention that I love the early Bond movies with Sean Connery. Honorable mention also must go to Traffic, Snatch, El Mariachi, and Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle. I’m just getting started on this and I’ve already listed far too many!

I was going to include links to The Internet Movie Database for each movie, but I’ll never get this posted if I do, so feel free to look them up if you’re curious.
