Marketing & SEO Blogs - Blog Top Sites

I’ve added a page to FreshBlogger.com that describes this sites privacy policy. Ostensibly, I’ve done this to comply with the terms of service for Google Analytics. I do think, however, that it’s a good policy for every website to have some sort of policy posted that lets users know what use may be made of their personal information.

Not all websites collect information from their readers or users, but many do. This can be in the form of data collected by placing a cookie in the user’s browser or it could also be voluntary input from the reader such as a comment or email to the site owner. I’m confident that the vast majority of website owners won’t be exploiting this information in any malicious way, but it’s a good thing to have a stated policy to reassure your readers.

The policy that I’ve posted is fairly rudimentary at this point. I think the basics have been covered, but if any of you have written a privacy policy for your blog or website or have any other ideas as to what it should or should not include, please leave a comment or contact me.
