[...] I mentioned in a recent post about my nifty new PageRank that I didn’t think I’d written a post about redirecting links from your www domain name to one without. What this means basically is that all incoming traffic that points to the www version of your domain name, like www.freshblogger.com, gets redirected to the version without, like freshblogger.com.
Thanks, Andy. I've thought about the widget idea. I do programming for my day job, but not enough web programming to be able to put something together quickly. I've also thought about making my own wordpress themes. I would make one that's easy to tweak a little and also optimized for advertising. I just have to find the time...

As an expample wp-plugins.info

I had a programmer take some free code from Dynamic Drive and add a simple interface to it. I even had to move the domain due to trademark issues, so most of the backlinks it had from last year were lost, or might not be fully counted.
It just regained PR5

DisclosurePolicyPlugin.com

Gained maybe 12 links before the update - PR4 now - note I didn't give it any from wp.org which was a mistake - I should have added it correctly to the codex beforehand.

Create some other kind of catchy widget - I am sure search engine journal do well with "How Much is Your Blog Worth"

You can do effectively PR5 in just a few days if you have the right linkbait.

A cool wordpress plugin almost guarantees it

For Google you can set it up in Webmaster Central for your preferred prefix, I think Yahoo and MSN work it out by themselves.
