Also creating your own version of the theme is a good idea but I think you can resize the fonts by simply changing a couple of numbers in the code. People should also be able to resize the fonts using their browsers. It's CTRL and or CTRL and Mouse wheel up for Firefox. Give Gimpshop a try and let me know what you think.

I chose 3k2 because of the 3 column layout and support for widgets. My original idea was to not modify it at all if I could help it, but that's proving impossible. I'm thinking now that I'm going to strip out all the code I don't need or don't like and create my own version of the theme. Maybe I'll post it so people can download it then... These two things are probably the biggest barrier to widespread acceptance. It really is a powerful graphics package from what I can tell.
