Hi Broc. Those were my first thoughts on the whole thing, too, but I think it's worth exploring what can happen to a blog over time if posting is relatively sparse. Check out the link about flipping websites I gave in the comment above and see what you think...

Good points, Jaro. This could be a good experiment, too. Blogging is definitely a fast-paced niche, but I wonder if the niche could be narrowed down a little bit or maybe larger issues could be focused on. Regardless, it definitely IS a shame to waste a site like this. Another thing to think about is what I wrote about in this post: Flipping Websites Versus Building Your Internet Empire.

Yeah, Garry's comment really got me thinking, too. It's a shame for a PR4 site to just sit there. I know what you mean about the sleep issues, too. Must be contagious...

You know, maybe you are on to something here. Perhaps, instead of focusing on posting once a day ish, we could take a different angle. Maybe 1-3 posts per month, something low like that. But more in-depth, thought out articles. And the key to it all, more promotion of the site.

So rather than posting at a rabid pace to pull in traffic, simply promote the lesser amount of content more heavily.

I don't know if it will work or not... heck my lack of sleep issue could really be catching up with me.. haven't slept well in weeks.

Anyway I'm going to think this over and I'll get in touch with you next week to throw some ideas around.

I forgot to answer your question in my previous comment :). I think that blog like Blogging Blog should be updated very frequently. I can image blog with the solar system theme being updated only once a month but blogging is something that is changing so fast that it needs frequent updates. My two cents :)

In case it makes some revenue I'd invest everything into hiring one or two bloggers to keep the blog going. It has already some value so it would be pity to let it die. Second option I would consider is selling it.
