Hi there, Rae. Sometimes those content based ads can be pretty bad at matching ads to your content. For personal blogs this can be almost impossible as topics tend to change quickly and content might be covering many different things on the same page.

I'm glad you're finding my articles to be motivating. I think I need to go back and reread some of them myself!

LOL. I sometimes go for years without meeting any other Rays, but I served on a committee at my day job a couple of years ago where there were three of us! Thanks for stopping by and commenting!

Hey-hey Ray ;)

SO Ã -propos for "where I'm at" with my (at-times-eep!)frenetic use of advertising, etc. - I REALLY need to 'git mah Google' back, heheh. I was - well, crazy(!), frankly, and was annoyed with trying to keep up with annoying and "I DO NOT SUPPORT THAT AUUGH!!"-type Ads. Working with Ads with INTEGRITY is freaking difficult, heheh :P Well, for me anyways :D Obviously (I hope.. hahah) the above "i do not support" yadda was only for some really REALLY awful content(content?WHATcontent?!)-based ad generation I was getting. I know, I know what to do. Just the TIME and INCLINATION. Heheh :P

Glancing downards (If It's Not Hard, You're Not Making Progess.. UNH!!!) - tell me ABOOT IT!! I mean - please! And OW (re: working hard and being your own worst/best motivator, arrgh. Erm. :\ :P) hahah - CLICK!!

Peace, Ray ;) (Thanks for posting this! It might set ANOTHER fire under my arse - GREAT!!! hahah ;) )

~Rae
*snickers* [still not over the "THAT'S MY NAME GIT YR OWN" 'bug', heheh - so I remained constantly amused :P) (Seriously, you MUST be the first 'Ray' I've ever met. I don't even know how that could be POSSIBLE, ahahah - Hrm, other than my frantically awesome "grades 7-8" art teacher. 'sighs. RAYS R00L!]

Hey Taylor. There are a lot of different ways to make money with a blog and payperpost is one that I'm seeing a bunch of newer bloggers using. I don't have any direct experience with it, but I have signed up for ReviewMe. I'm still on the fence regarding putting paid content on this blog, but I'm not against it as a whole.

That conference sounds interesting. I could have used a trip to Florida a couple of months ago! Thanks for the heads up and the great comments!

Thanks, Valentin. Everyone who signs up should be sure to read the Terms of Service very carefully to get a good understanding of what is and isn't permitted. I've heard some scary stories, but it seems like the majority of AdSense users stay on the good side of the rules. Thanks for your comment!

Good advice from Valentin (above) about making sure not to click on your own ads. It can lead to your account being suspended, etc...

If you are interested in exploring other ways to monetize your blog, you might want to check out Postiecon, a conference coming up in Florida where celebrity bloggers are going to teach the rest of us how to maximize returns on our blogs.

Adsense is definitely a great way to monetize your blog. For a blogger just starting out with minmal traffic it may make more sense to use a something like www.payperpost.com where you can make money regardless of what the traffic on your site is like.

Great post overall, i clicked the affiliate link ;)

Hello, Ray,

You`re definatelly right. Is simple and often return unespected big results, making ppls to ask themself why they didn`t start earlier.

The only negative spot for google Adsense is connected to "cheat clicks". Advice : do anything to avoid to click on your own adsense`s adverts ! Do not ask friends to click ! Don`t reward users toclick ! Google anti-cheat is ridiculous close to paranoic. :-))

Happy cash-in !
