I’ve been running a survey on FreshBlogger asking what sort of articles you would like to see more of on this blog. There have been more votes on this particular survey than any other. I’m not entirely sure if it’s because the question sparked more interest or because there were just more visitors during this time. Regardless, I’m now closing the survey and posting the results.

What Types of Articles Would You Like To See More of on FreshBlogger?

As you can see, the type of article most readers would like to see more of on FreshBlogger are the ones discussing writing and blogging skills. This is sort of a general category that could really encompass a lot of different topics. Many of the articles that are ostensibly about personal development or productivity can actually fall into this category, too, because of how I relate them to the field of blogging.

The next most wanted category is monetizing blogs and websites. This is another topic I’ve spent some time on learning for myself. I’m still relatively new at this, but I’ve picked up quite a bit of knowledge over the last year or so. I definitely want to address this topic in more depth as my own earnings and knowledge continue to increase. There are many new opportunities for bloggers to make money from doing something they love and I’m going to be posting on this and pointing to some more great resources in the future.

Next comes the personal development and productivity category. On the surface, this topic may not seem to be as popular as the others, but I have to say that those articles are usually particularly popular. As I mentioned above, I usually take some facet of personal development or productivity and apply it to blogging. This goes along with my philosophy of being able to learn by observation. There is so much we can pick up by observing the world around us and seeing what works and what doesn’t work for others.

Lastly, there is the topic of saving money and getting out of debt. Honestly, this is an important topic to me, but is apparently not as popular with my readers as the other ones. I’ll continue to post an article here and there when I have some valuable information to share, but I’ll make sure they don’t crowd out the most requested types of articles.

I’m going to be exploring some new topics in the future, too. One category that I should have included in the survey is Entrepreneurism. The whole idea goes along very well with what many of us as bloggers are trying to accomplish. I’m not sure why I didn’t think of it back then, but I’ll be taking a closer look at the blogger as entrepreneur in some upcoming articles. Thanks to all who voted in this survey. I have another one I’m getting ready to put up, so stay tuned.
