Thanks, Music, for the recommendation and the kind words and thanks, Gary, for the ideas. There's so much to be gained by surrendering. I mean that in the sense of not fighting against reality. I think many of us waste so much time in this useless struggle. In fact, I'm going to turn that into a post!

Awesome contemplation!

Instead of feeling the fear of being alone, go into it fully. Experience everything you possibly can feel and surrender to it. What you'll find thats left is your inner-being / true-self / god / source energy that has always been there with you, because it IS you.

Great post, thank you for sharing.

Ray, I ache for you. I have gone through similar experiences to know what it is like. i finally discovered the difference between being alone and solitude. That has brought a great deal of change in my outlook and I am much better off for it.

"Only when one is connected to one's own core is one connected to others. And, for me, the core, the inner spring, can best be re-found through solitude..." Anne Morrow Lindbergh.

May I recommend a great book to read? Letters To My Son, by Kent Nerburn. It is a mind blowing read.

Thanks. Lately, there have been a lot of times I've been staring at a blank wall and contemplating my life. This is a feeling I've had to deal with. I hope to share more in the future and I hope that I can inspire others to keep going with a positive attitude and succeed despite difficult times. Thanks for commenting!

Hmmmmm!!

Food for thought, yes its ok to be alone i'm sure most people have felt alone at some point, it makes me think of that old addage..you don't have to be alone to be lonely!

I've been working for myself now for a number of years and sometimes have felt very alone........staring at the telephone waiting for it to ring so I could speak to someone. However i'm now over that and working on my online business using James Brausch as a mentor, someone to talk to at last.......only joking!!

Don't despair there is always hope!
