My name is Ray and I’m the person behind all of the craziness posted on FreshBlogger. I’m updating this About page for the first time in a very long time. It’s now March of 2010 and it looks like it was around September of 2006 the last time I touched this page!

Time has flown by and much has changed. I’m a little older than I was then and still live in Northern Kentucky. I still have a bunch of children but they’re getting bigger by the day. I’m out of the programming business (most days!), but I still take up space in a cubicle during the work week. I’m employed now as a project manager in the Healthcare IT world. It’s good business right now.

I initially started blogging as a way to encourage myself to write every day. Here’s an excerpt from my old about page that’s still true:

I’ve been blogging since January of 2006 and I loved it from the beginning. I started blogging over at Blogger.com in an effort to practice writing every day. I was and still am interested in writing fiction. That was the initial focus of my blog. As time went by, though, I realized that I wanted to do more than just slave away for 50+ hours a week and write stories in the wee hours.

While I had high hopes of becoming a professional writer/blogger, that hasn’t really materialized. I’ve been able to make a few dollars over time with this blog, but never anywhere near enough to make a living.

As for the content of this blog, I write about a number of different things. In the past I’ve written about making money online, writing, blogging, programming, work, self improvement, productivity, and just about anything about life. I have a wide variety of interests, so in the future, I’ll continue to write about a variety of topics.
